Rome is also a great value city break destination, with plenty of budget-friendly hotels and restaurants.

How many days do you need in Rome?

This is a difficult question to answer, as Rome is such a vast and varied city. However, we would recommend at least three days in Rome so that you can see the main sights and have time to explore the city’s many neighborhoods.

Of course, if you’re looking to really experience all that Rome has to offer, then a longer trip is in order. Rome is a city that you could easily spend weeks or even months exploring!

Is Rome expensive to visit?

Rome can be expensive to visit, but it doesn’t have to be. There are plenty of ways to save money on your trip, from finding budget-friendly accommodation to eating like a local.

You’re looking to spend around €100 per day on your Rome holidays, which should cover your food and activities.

If you’re smart about how you spend your money, Rome can be an affordable city break destination. Make sure you take advantage of all the free activities and sights in the city!

What are the best things to do in Rome?

There are so many wonderful things to do in Rome, it’s hard to know where to start! Some of Rome’s must-see sights include the Colosseum, Pantheon, the Roman Forum, Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, Piazza Navona, Palatine Hill, the Trevi Fountain and the Vatican City.

But Rome is more than just a city of historical landmarks. It’s also a place where you can enjoy delicious food, world-class shopping and beautiful parks and gardens.

Which is the best area to stay in Rome?

Again, this is a difficult question to answer as Rome is such a large city. However, we would recommend staying in the historic center of Rome so that you can easily walk to all the main sights.

Piazza di Spagna is a great area to stay in Rome, if you’re looking for a bit of luxury. You’ll find plenty of high end restaurants, shops and hotels.

If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option, then consider staying in one of Rome’s many suburbs. From there, you can use Rome’s excellent public transportation system to get around.

The best time of year to visit Rome is from April to June, when the weather is mild and there are fewer crowds. However, Rome is a popular city break destination all year round.

If you’re looking to avoid the crowds, then we would recommend visiting Rome in the shoulder season (March-April and October-November). You’ll still be able to enjoy the city’s sights and attractions, but there will be fewer people.

No matter when you decide to visit Rome, you’re sure to have a wonderful time!

Is Rome safe to travel to?

Rome is a safe city to travel to, but as with any large city, there are some areas that are best avoided. We would recommend avoiding the area around the Termini train station, as it can be quite dangerous at night.

Other than that, Rome is a relatively safe city and you shouldn’t have any problems during your trip.

Take the usual precautions, such as not walking alone at night and keeping your valuables safe, and you’ll be fine. It’s also recommended that you get travel insurance before you go, just to be on the safe side.
